Sundays

Sundays are a great day to get together

Yes, we know times have changed. You can shop, swim or scoot on a Sunday just as easily as any other day. But there’s something good about a weekly rhythm that allows one day to be different, special even. Jesus called it the Sabbath, and it was a day for rest and worship. You’ll find our format for Sundays below, its all flexible, so free to arrive and leave at the time that feels right for you. We hope you’ll find something that brings you to worship.

8am – Morning Prayer
We start our Sundays with Morning Prayer using the Church of England daily prayer liturgy.
You can join us in person or online on through our Facebook group.

From 8.30am – Breakfast Together
How about starting your Sunday with breakfast together?
It’s a warm and friendly space suitable for all ages.

9.30am – Common Worship
At 9.30 we continue our day with Common Worship, including a traditional
mix of hymns, prayers, bible readings and sermon.

10.30am – Coffee and Cake!
10.30 is our coffee break. It’s a great time to catch up with friends old and new.
(There’s usually cake, and sometime even ice-cream!)

11am – Contemporary Worship
A more informal combination of worship, prayer, bible teaching and activities for all ages.

First Sunday of the month
The first Sunday of the month is Worship Together. We have one service at 10am followed by refreshments at 11.30 and lunch at midday. It’s a great opportiunity for the whole of St Toms to worship together. It can get quite full but we can always find you a spce!
